Hungarian food safety authority Nébih on Friday lifted restrictions imposed earlier due to avian flu identified in eastern Hungary’s Hajdú-Bihar county.

No new infection has been reported in the Nádudvar area since April 13, the authority said. If no further cases were reported distribution of poultry from the area could resume to domestic and EU markets on May 16, Nébih said.
