On Saturday, August 6th, a two-and-a-half-year-old girl who came to our country from the Czech Republic on vacation with her family drowned in Lake Balaton at the Badacsonylábdihegy camping beach, Sümegi Szó reports.
The paper learned from an official source that the child drowned in Lake Balaton around 4:30 p.m., slipping off a mattress into the water. A large number of police, ambulances, and local search units were dispatched to the incident, but those staying at the campsite also searched for the little girl.
She was found at 6:00 p.m., but the ambulance and medical staff could no longer save her life.
Water specialists regularly draw attention to the fact that minors should only be allowed into the water under strict supervision and taking the weather into account.
